feministschool.biz – There are many reasons to add exercise to your cycling routine. If you do, it’s great….necessary…..to have a simple exercise program that can help you log your workouts. In general, these are not programs that show you what to do, and they don’t give much training advice, they are more like simple records of what you did and when. But wait, it’s still good, they can monitor your progress, graph and reward you, give time, combine multiple tools and return to the cloud. Of course there is more to these programs, but where things often go wrong, and when things go wrong the most, is that the interface is often difficult and/or unusable: especially in sweaty gyms! They have a bad habit of giving you ads or upvotes to upgrade, and asking you for stupid subscriptions. So here’s what I’m looking for:
Simple and clean interface Gym storage + Cardio + Custom workout diary No ads and fees (or just a one-time payment)
Top Fitness Apps For Tracking Progress
With that, is it too much to ask? we will see. I spent the weekend (Jan21) reviewing about 50 apps. These 10 are the best I could find. If there is no such chart, I would hate the design or the advertising or the price. So let’s take a look at Apple apps and then Android apps…..ranked #5 to #1. Click on the table to find a google page that you can download.
Best Fitness Apps Of 2023
Workit, Free for iOS | Android provides easy ways to enter data and create tracks, exercise logs and monitor/see your progress. Workit is a combination of fitness tracker and strength training app. Also hundreds of games included with descriptions, animations and links to YouTube videos. And that includes heart disease. For $4.99, the Pro version removes ads, keeps track of body stats, and has a BMI calculator and the ability to save progress photos to see what you’ve gained (or lost).
Powerful, free for iOS, Android and Apple Watch, it’s a great app for planning and logging. Adding sets and exercises is much faster as the software pre-populates the data and provides complete history, graphs and reports. The powerful one allows you to include in the action, (three times less in the free version). Unlocks more features for unlimited content and unlocks PRO for $29.99 per year.
This is a stupidly simple app with no features. It sounds corny, but it still works, it keeps track of your workouts (record them) and asks for reps/sets. Jake Mohr developed this on the side of his main paid app, FitnessAI, which is great but very expensive.
It seems that it is completely free, but some readers said that they stopped after asking for it, but if it is free, then most people will want it.

FitHero is “your notepad to the gym”. Track your workouts and progress in the easiest way with 300 exercises
Fithero is a great little app that has no ads, and it’s free. Yes, there is an option to pay £0.89 (I think it’s less) but it doesn’t add much, because you still need it.
Gym Logger is a very small, simple yet powerful fitness tracker with a simple yet stylish interface. Sorry, I have to admit it’s paid, but you only pay $4.99 once and get all the features of Gym Logger, no problem, come on. (Yes you can try it for free).

Best Gym Workout Apps
Simple Fitness Log, free for Android, is simple in design and use. Logging is easy, with your profile, exercise charts and a simple calculator close at hand. There is a summary page with statistics of your previous workouts, graphing of strength and cardio, advanced logging capabilities, cloud storage, export to Excel, and an online version for reviewing information and setting up routes.
Ads are very limited but there is a Pro version if you want to remove ads and add more
FitHero is “your notepad to the gym”. It’s a great app, we rank it #1 on Apple (above). Track your workouts and progress in the easiest way with 300 exercises
Fithero is a great little app that has no ads, and it’s free. Yes, there is a £0.89 payment option (I think it’s turned off) but it doesn’t add much, as you’ll still need it.
The Best Fitness Tracker Apps For Android
FitNotes, free for Android, is a fitness tracker that focuses on simplicity and a clean design. It works online and does not require registering an account or anything else. It’s customizable, works with resistance and resistance, and has a calendar to plan your workouts.
In addition to aerobics, you can find complete exercises such as Olympic or plyometrics, which also include cardio.
The workout log helps you quickly view and manage your daily workouts by swiping between them, as well as going to a specific day using the built-in calendar. Add exercises to the exercise log and record the weight and reps or distance and time. FitNotes is a great app if you’re new to fitness because of its clean design and ease of use without paying for a professional.
There are no ads, but you can buy a premium version for $3.99 that adds several functions.
Essential Features For Building A Successful Fitness App
GymKeeper is the best I’ve seen. It includes exercises and routines. But the main purpose is to keep a training book. The workout notes are divided into pages, each representing a different training day with exercises and sets visible so you don’t have to click again to view and edit your entire workout. You can monitor your workouts, exercises, muscle groups and body weight statistics at any time and post new records with free interactive graphs and a workout calculator, where you can find out the weight of the barbell that is recommended for the set and the body mass. Index, daily calories and heart rate for your workouts. The “Share” function will help you stay engaged with your friends.
Yes, sorry again it’s paid but it’s only $8.99 or $10! Come forward. It’s worth it!
Most of the 50 apps I looked at were buggy, full of ads, and expensive. Both android and apple = FitHero had a similar free app which was good but basic. Lift Log: #1 As good as FitHero on iOS but sometimes it’s simpler, it doesn’t have a single image or countdown! Fitnotes for android is just as good as Fithero and both have a slightly different design.
To beat Fithero (or Fitnotes) you’ll have to (sadly) pay for both Gym Logger on Apple (low, very reasonable Rs.10/$/pound) or Gym Keeper on Android.
